The first courses for training young people in Packaging, printing and graphic communication took place at the Global Pack – Foodtech exhibition.
The presentation of the PackPrint Science Center with the two presentations by the Center's scientific director, Dr. Anastasios Politis, at the Packaging Inspiring Innovation forum was significant.
At the same time, important contacts were made with the businesses of the branches, with the main goal of collaborations for education and training in the immediate future.
At the single double stand of Packprint Science with ELSET and with the care of ELSET, HELGRAMED and FESPA came the 2nd EPAL N. Philadelphia, the 3rd EPAL Piraeus/1st EK Piraeus, 2nd class of Applied Arts and 3rd class of Graphic Arts and SAEK Piraeus.
Students were given detailed information on labelling, packaging and the professional prospects that open up in the field.
During the briefing, a video was shown on a screen with phases from various professional specialties of Packaging.
Then the young people went to the booths of the Konica Minolta and Lino companies, where they saw some machines in operation, as well as the result they produce, as well as surfaces on which the printing is done.
Pupils, students and their companions submitted many questions and got the answers they were looking for from the authorities.
One of their speakers pointed out that the experience of the older and the enthusiasm of the younger are the strongest foundations to build the future in an industry that provides excellent prospects, but has huge needs for specialized partners.
The booth was the first "step" from which we invite young people to get to know Packaging up close.
We would like to thank the organizing company Forum for the free stand they granted us.
Also, it is our deep need to thank the companies Konica Minolta, Lino, Bell, Flexoplates Papadopoulos and EktypoSYS for their support by informing the young people or with the material they made available to us for the creation of the video.
