George Triantafyllou and Tasos Politis from the PackPrint Science Center participated in the presentation of the Interpack exhibition, which will take place in Duesseldorf from 7 to 13 May 2026.
At the event, the exhibition program was presented by Ms. Cornelia Tautenhahn, press officer of Interpack, as well as the developments in packaging by Ms. Judith Binzer, representative of the VDMA (German Machinery Manufacturers Association). The event was perfectly organized by Alexia Castro and Diana Stiehle, of the Messe Duesseldorff delegation for Greece and Cyprus.
The Interpack exhibition is the leading event in the packaging industry worldwide. In particular, the full range will be presented, from the production and processing of packaging and packaging materials, to quality assurance with a focus on consumer protection.
The first courses for training young people in Packaging, printing and graphic communication took place at the Global Pack – Foodtech exhibition.
The presentation of the PackPrint Science Center with the two presentations by the Center's scientific director, Dr. Anastasios Politis, at the Packaging Inspiring Innovation forum was significant.
At the same time, important contacts were made with the businesses of the branches, with the main goal of collaborations for education and training in the immediate future.
The new Board of Directors of PackPrint Science
The Board of Directors of PackPrint Science was constituted after the elections of 24-25/09/2025.
Its composition is:

Vice President: Augerinos Hatzichrysos
General Secretary: Giorgos Triantafillou
Treasurer: Maria Antonopoulou
Members: Vassilis Dimakis, George Nikolaou, Antonis Tsigonias
In the 7th place, Mr. V. Dimakis and Mr. Tasos Pallas had a tie in the elections. Mr. Pallas sent a letter to the Board of Directors. with which he declares that he is always next to the Center and renounces the lottery so that someone younger can take the place.
The members and collaborators of the PackPrint Science Center for Research and Education of Packaging, Printing and Graphic Communication, feel devastated by the untimely loss of Kostas Vgontzas of the Lychnia company.
We express our deepest condolences to the family and the company.

Current and new members at GRAPHICA
Research, innovation, education and training in Packaging, Printing and Graphic Communication found their expression.
The PackPrint Science organization which is a creation of the collaboration of ELSET (Hellenic Association of Label Makers), HELGRANED (Panhellenic Association of Graduates of Graphic Arts Technology) and FESPA (Silkscreens, Large Size Digital Printing, Textile Printing) was presented for the first time at SYSKEVASIA 2024.
At GRAPHICA 2025, it made a more dynamic and substantial appearance on Saturday, March 23, 2025.
New carrier for new people

After a long and joint effort and with impressive public participation, the new organization for Research, Development, Training in Packaging, Printing and Graphic Communication was presented at the SYSKEVASIA 2024 exhibition. On Saturday 2 November 2024, ELSET, HELGRAMED, FESPA and GRAPHMEDLAB started their joint journey at PackPrint Science. The presidents of ELSET, Mrs. Denise Haitoglou, of HELGRAMED Mr. G. Gabbrellis, of FESPA HELLAS Mr. K. Papathanasopoulos and the director of the Graphic Arts Technology Research Laboratory & of Optical Communication of the University of Western Attica, Mr. M. Tsigonias, welcomed the initiative, declared their full support and called on institutions, businesses and all people in the fields to join in this effort. The presentation was made by one of the main contributors to this effort, the president of the International Circle of Graphic Arts Universities, professor Dr. Anastasios Politis, who mentioned the difficulty of finding specialized human resources and the lack of education, training and retraining programs in printing and packaging.
